Sumsub has joined The Financial Technology Association (FTA). Founded in 2015, Sumsub has grown into a full-cycle verification and compliance platform, verifying more than 1 million people per day across fintech, crypto, payments, and other sectors.
The company's platform covers Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), anti-money laundering (AML), transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention, helping companies onboard customers efficiently while meeting regulatory requirements. Today, Sumsub is trusted by more than 4,000 companies worldwide for their identity verification needs.
"Fintech innovators like Sumsub show what’s possible when we harness technology to fight fraud, protect financial transactions, and ensure high levels of compliance," said Penny Lee, President and CEO of the Financial Technology Association. "We are delighted to welcome SumSub to our community and look forward to working together.”
“We are pleased to join FTA’s membership of leading fintech companies working to shape the future of finance,” said Kat Cloud, Head of Government Relations at Sumsub. “We look forward to collaborating with like-minded peers on shared policy priorities like combating fraud, strengthening our financial system, and helping more people navigate the digital financial economy with confidence.”
Sumsub joins FTA's membership of digitally native firms spanning payments, lending, banking, investing, and financial infrastructure. As fraud grows more sophisticated, FTA advocates for modern regulatory frameworks, improved data sharing, and stronger public-private collaboration. The association also runs Smarter than Scams, an annual consumer education campaign to help people recognize and avoid common payment scams.
