MyMove is a software company that enables corporations, governments, and other organizations with vehicle fleets to provide an end-to-end car sharing experience. The company provides a full range of technology to autonomously connect and share the vehicle fleets. This enables clients to either manage their vehicles for internal use or leverage their fleets to provide B2B2C vehicle rental services.
The solution offers in-car keyless technology, a mobile app for the end-user, mobile payments (in-app), platform & dashboards for fleet management, and the possibility to integrate with current systems. Extended live support is available 24/7 for vehicle users.
The Challenge
Back in 2019, MyMove started out with a B2B business model that offered fleet-sharing software to enterprises, enabling their employees to share the vehicles between themselves. When COVID hit, they started looking for a business model beyond internal fleet sharing. That’s when MyMove shifted to an open, B2B2C system, making it possible for fleet owners to rent out their vehicles to third parties.

We decided to enter a new market, to team up with car dealerships, rental companies and the building owners – real estate companies, for example. This B2B2C model meant that everyone could basically use a vehicle from the fleet of our clients. Of course, in this case, since they didn’t necessarily know these people, we needed to verify their identity and their driver license for our new clients. So that’s when I think, about two years ago, we started looking for a partner that could do the KYC procedures for us.
For MyMove’s enterprise clients, the need for online verification was paramount since keeping track of the identities and driving licenses fleet users was too big a burden. That’s why MyMove started looking for a purpose-built verification solution in the first place. The best way to tackle this, in MyMove’s view, was to find a single KYC provider—one that could be fully integrated with MyMove software to provide automatic identity checks for B2B2C customers.
Why Sumsub?
After searching for the best online verification provider for their needs, MyMove ended up picking Sumsub. Here’s why:
- Sumsub is a whitelabel KYC solution that could be completely integrated into the MyMove app, creating a smooth user experience
- High verification speed (ID and DL check within 3.5 minutes)
- 24/7 availability, fast response times, and high quality of support
- Internationally scalable solution with broad global coverage

What we were looking for in a KYC partner was, first of all, an SDK that offers a KYC flow completely integrated with our app. This means that the end user will stay in our environment and our app. The second element was definitely the 24/7 service which Sumsub offers. Third, of course, is the speed. I tried the verification myself and it was really fast—just a couple of minutes for the ID and driver’s license check. Also my colleagues are really happy with the speed and quality of Sumsub’s support service.
MyMove became a Sumsub customer in July 2020. The whole integration process took approximately 2 months.
It was important for MyMove that Sumsub offers an international solution and broad coverage. As they have customers in many countries, it’s important that they can accommodate the same solutions internationally as it makes their app very scalable.
The Solution
Since MyMove facilitates vehicle sharing–bikes, scooters, cars etc.–their B2B2C end users must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Therefore, Sumsub provides MyMove with two levels of checks:
- ‘Selfie with ID’ check (any ID documents like passport, European ID card, etc.)
- Driver’s license check
These steps are enough for MyMove clients to be legally compliant with regulations.
Sumsub’s whitelabel KYC solution is smoothly integrated with the MyMove application, which means that the verification process does not require applicants to complete any extra steps like following outer links, downloading other apps, and so on.
Moreover, there is a Support Chat button embedded into the MyMove app that enables 24/7 assistance for end users. If a customer is stuck on an ID or driver’s license check, they can simply reach out, and the MyMove support team will contact Sumsub directly and solve the problem in real time—usually within 10-15 minutes.

If I put myself in the shoes of an end user, I would find the speed of onboarding paramount. I wouldn’t want to wait. If, for example, I see a vehicle that I want to rent in the streets, I scan a QR code to take it. But I need to do the KYC check first. Of course, as I am standing next to the vehicle, I wouldn’t want to wait for an hour or even 30 minutes. Within five or ten minutes, I’d like to be able to sit in the car and drive wherever I have to be. So the speed of verification is, I think, the most important factor.
Usually the entire verification process takes less than 3.5 minutes for a single user. The average pass rate for MyMove end users is 88%.
(If you are interested in pass rates in different countries, you can take a look at Sumsub’s average conversion map).
Future plans
MyMove is planning on a vast global expansion in 2022, and Sumsub is ready to provide the KYC checks required. This means that MyMove can concentrate on business development and growth in new markets, while Sumsub handles all things KYC.

Our objective is to grow internationally as fast as possible. We currently have clients outside Belgium – in Switzerland, in Martinique, in the Caribbean islands, in French Guiana and in the UAE. As for the European markets, we are looking at France and the Netherlands now. We regularly have requests coming from leads in the Nordics and many other countries. But we are not at all limited to the EU. For instance, clients from India and Thailand have also reached out to us lately. With Sumsub, we are ready to expand anywhere possible.
