Sumsub and Sumvin, Inc., a market-leading agentic commerce platform, today announced a partnership that enables AI agents to complete purchases and manage financial accounts on behalf of KYC-verified users.

The partnership integrates Sumsub's identity verification infrastructure directly into Sumvin's agentic credential, enabling AI agents to act on behalf of KYC-verified individuals in real-time commerce and financial services. The integration uses Sumsub's AI Agent Verification, part of its Know Your Agent (KYA) framework, together with its Reusable Identity suite, which allows a user to verify once and carry that verification seamlessly across platforms. For the first time, the trust standards used in regulated finance can travel with the user - carried inside a portable, encrypted credential that any merchant or financial institution can recognize and rely on.

AI agents are increasingly capable of executing purchases, managing subscriptions, and interacting with financial services on behalf of users. Until now, no verification standard has existed to confirm an agent is acting for a real, verified human rather than acting autonomously or fraudulently.

Once a user is verified, their credential is encrypted and portable, meaning their agent can act on their behalf with a trusted, recognizable identity across the internet - the credential speaks both for the human behind it, and the agent acting for them. The primitive will be available to developers globally in August 2026.

For merchants, this partnership creates a clear path to accepting agent-initiated transactions without taking on identity risk. For users, it means their agent carries their verified identity rather than requiring repeated onboarding at every new platform. For financial services, it extends the trust standards they already rely on into the emerging agent layer.

Simon Jones, CEO, Sumvin, Inc., said: "Agentic commerce only works when merchants and financial institutions can trust who is behind the agent. Integrating KYC-grade identity verification into the agentic credential is the missing primitive - the moment a verified human and an authorized agent become one trusted, portable identity across the internet."

"Identity verification has always been the foundation of trusted commerce, but until now it hasn't traveled with the user across different platforms and services. By powering the verification inside Sumvin's agentic credential with AI Agent Verification, our KYA capability that binds agent activity to a verified human, Sumsub is extending KYC-grade trust into the agent layer. At Sumsub, we do not believe automation to be inherently 'good' nor 'bad'. However, as the industry has evolved, it is now possible for AI to act on behalf of humans across any merchant or financial service, anywhere in the world. Therefore, it is crucial we ensure such agents are verified and bound to an accountable human," added Thomas Taraniuk, Head of Partnerships, UK & EU, Sumsub.
