Ask Sumsubers: How can a company be verified when its data can’t be found in registries?

Sumsub keeps getting questions from our followers about the specifics of regulatory compliance, verification, automated solutions, and everything in between. We’ve therefore decided to launch a bi-weekly Q&A series, where our legal, tech, and other experts answer your most frequently asked questions. Check out The Sumsuber and our social media every other Thursday for new answers, and don’t forget to ask about the things that interest you.

This week, our KYB Product Lead, Stan Tyrnov, will discuss whether it’s possible to verify a company if it can’t be found in registries.

Follow this bi-weekly series and submit your own questions to our Instagram and LinkedIn.

If the data can’t be found in registries, Sumsub offers a unique Know Your Business (KYB) solution. We can ask a company representative to upload corporate documents to our system, such as a certificate of incorporation, certificate of registration, power of attorney, or other applicable documents. Our in-house team of compliance managers will review these documents manually, ensuring that you can still verify the company based on the information obtained from the corporate documents.
